Hail, snow, no bears! Oh My! Camping was fun.

Camping happened! And it was fun, even if it hailed and snowed. That possibly (at least the snow part) made it more fun. Especially since it was Gabbie's first snow fall. She was mystified by the tiny while bits falling all around. The trip was not entirely the most successful, in large part due to unexpected coldness, but we all managed to thoroughly enjoy ourselves and are already planning the next trip.

Day 1: Fairly easy and quick trip up the mountain. We unpacked and set-up shop. Than we made a visit to a baseball field. My brothers happened to had a softball game that day in, of all places, Big Bear! The wind unfortunately didn't allow for us to stay much past 10 mins. Went back to camp, great carne asada dinner and S'mores!!!

Day 2: Wake-up! It's hailing. And wait for it...snow! But Berta came and saved the day with big puffy jackets and extra blankets. Half the campground cleared out when the snow started falling, but those of us that stuck it out got a pleasant sunny surprise only a few hours later. While it was still pretty cold the sunny started shinny bright and by mid-afternoon you could barely tell there was any rain/snow in the morning. And of course S'mores!!!

Day 3: Wake up it's time to go home. We got an early start and left by 9:30am but managed to keep that campfire smell alive all day. Bic's car even smells like it now.

Overall: FUN TIMES! (And 243 pictures on my camera!)

That it for now, camping ramblin' done.
